Love cabbage cigars, but don’t have time to prepare them? Try this simple weeknight recipe that has all the flavors of this classic Eastern European dish.


° 1 lb lean ground beef

° 1 garlic clove, minced

° 1 large onion, chopped

° 1 C. at t. salt

° 1 C. at t. dry mustard

° 1 can beef broth with Campbell’s®️ 30% less sodium red wine

° 1 can diced tomatoes

° 6 cups Savoy cabbage, chopped

° 1 bay leaf

° 1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice



In a large pot, cook the beef, garlic and onion over medium heat until the meat has lost its pink color; to drain.

Add the salt, mustard powder and cabbage. Cook for 1 minute.

Add the broth, tomatoes, bay leaf and rice; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat; stew, covered, about 16 min .

Remove the bay sheet and serve warm .
